Put together as a favour for a friend, this logo was designed for a game review website, targeting older / retro visitors.
The design is based around the concept of the classic ‘hadouken’ move in the 1987 arcade hit, Street Fighter.
In the game, the move is pulled off by pressing ↓, ↘, →, and then “punch” in a smooth motion - sending a surge of spirit energy (or ki) flying towards the opponent.
